Garage Calendar
Privacy policy
Google data is used to provide the email-to-suggestion feature of this private family calendar.
What we access
Garage Calendar accesses Gmail messages available to the dedicated Gmail account under the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly scope. It uses this access to read forwarded event emails for the review Inbox.
The integration does not send, delete, modify, or mark messages in Gmail.
What we retain and why
Garage Calendar stores selected message headers, decoded message bodies, supported attachments, and derived event-suggestion fields. These provide the details and supporting evidence needed to review a family-calendar suggestion.
It does not preserve a complete raw .eml archive. Inline images are not preserved as an independent archive, and not every attachment type is retained.
Data is stored on the privately operated Garage Calendar server. Access and use are limited to the app's user-facing email-to-suggestion functionality.
People review suggestions
Ingested email first becomes a suggestion in the review Inbox. It does not automatically create a Calendar event. A person must explicitly review and approve the suggestion before an event is created.
How Google data is used
Google user data is not sold. It is not used to train generalized or shared artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Garage Calendar complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Stopping access
You can stop future Gmail access by revoking Garage Calendar's authorization in your Google Account's third-party connections settings.
